This comedian and actress had flown to New York from Los Angeles one recent morning for a whirl of publicity about her various projects, including the third special of the hit television franchise “Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance,” and had just finished a “Today” interview with the correspondent Natalie Morales. “Oh, baby, we can get lunch in the room,” Mo’Nique said, her smoky voice at once caressing and no-nonsense. “We need to be comfortable,” she added, making comfort sound as exciting as a spa vacation with naughty bubble baths and Champagne. [...] “I’m on a mission of love, a mission of acceptance, a mission of being nonjudgmental, a mission of happiness,” she said as she put her feet up. “That’s a lot of mission, huh? I was [am] just a fat woman talking about being a fat woman and how I embraced it and how I loved it."
